Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp Oil divided

  • 3 tsp Cumin

  • 4 tsp Chili Powder

  • 1 tsp Oregano

  • 2 tsp Chipotle Pepper

  • 4 cloves Garlic

  • 1 Onion Large

  • 1 Green Pepper

  • 3 Celery Stalks

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef

  • 4 cups Beans, assorted and drained, pinto and kidney

  • 3 cans Finely Chopped Tomatoes 15oz cans

  • 1 can Tomato Sauce 15oz

  • 1 qt Beef Broth

  • 2 tbsp Honey

  • 2 tspSalt


  • Jalepanos to taste

Preparation

In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp oil over medium heat. Add spices and saute until fragrant.


Add garlic, onions, green pepper and celery. Saute until ontions are transparent. Set aside.


In a large pot, heat remaining 2 tbsp oil and brown meat. Add vegetables, tomatoes, beans, and broth. Bring to gentle simmer and let cook for about 1 hr.


Add honey and salt to taste.
