Turkey Stuffing (Sausage)

Family recipe for a different stuffing. Will stuff a 20 - 24 pound turkey.

Ingredients

  • 1+ cups Onion, chopped

  • 1 1/2 cups Celery, chopped

  • 2 lbs Italian sausage (some hot may be used)

  • 1 1/2 cubes Butter

  • 16 oz Herbed dry bread stuffing

  • 1/8 lb Parmesan cheese

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1/2 tbspBells seasoning


  • Chicken broth as needed

Preparation

Melt butter. Slightly beat eggs.


Remove sausage from the cassings and break into small chunks. Cook sausage in frying pan and retain half the fat after cooked.


Mix all ingredients in large bowl or pot. Add broth till mixture is moist. If a dryer stuffing is desired, use less chicken broth.
